I used this project as an excuse to move away from my usual design style and go for something much creepier. I wanted the site to have an “old internet” feeling, almost like you accidentally found. For the logo, I created a cow-head illustration that connects to the folklore and mystery of cryptozoology. I built out several sections, including a cryptozoology definition page, individual creature pages, an interactive U.S. map, and a “Report a Cryptid” page. Adding these sections made the site feel more like something you could explore rather than just read.
